The Rite Flick Showed Disturbing Clips

Author: chriskickzme

New Line Studios released their new thriller/horror movie "The Rite" into movie theaters last month. I just watched it,and it was awesome. It showed loads of intense exorcism scenes with acting legend Anthony Hopkins. The movie stars: Anthony Hopkins, Colin O'Donoghue, Alice Braga, Ciaran Hinds, and Rutger Hauer.

The film revolved around two guys named Michael Kovak and Father Lucas Trevant . Michael is an up and coming United states Priest who has difficulties with his own faith in God. He has a tough time believing that the Devil exist in addition to these so-called Demonic possessions. The film would sometimes show flashbacks to Michael's years as a child where he first accumulated his faith issues when his father perished.

Michael before long travels to Italy to learn exorcism with Father Lucas because his American teacher deemed he needed to receive some "hands on" knowledge about exorcism since he doubted it a lot. In just a short while after his arrival at Lucas' dwelling,he gets shown his first live exorcism with a girl who's with child and goes in and out of possessions.

In spite of such real proof of possession,Michael still communicates doubt in the religion. The girl spits out nails, blood, her voice shifts to a loco demonic voice, she turns into an extreme contortionist, and all other kinds of weird stuff, but Michael still swears she just needs to see a psychiatrist.

Eventually, Michael starts experiencing major challenges brought about by odd dreams he's been receiving about his departed father. Father Lucas tries to help him out with his issues. However, Michael gets his questioning faith put to the greatest test when the demon possesses the person he never thought it could possess, and if Michael doesn't get some good faith fast, his existance and other's lives are in danger.

Michael and his woman friend are in the room throughout the possession, and things get incredibly challenging. Finally, with his back up against the wall,Michael is pushed to cope with his faith issues and problems with God to overcome what is about to kill him. The ending was highly intense and had me on the edge of my seat.

I thought the show was highly entertaining and intriguing. However, there were some slow-moving moments during the film in which I discovered myself dosing off a bit,but when things got going, they truly got going in a substantial way. It presented a great deal of "can't miss," intense moments. The exorcism scenes were rather disturbing and persuading. I gave the film a B rating.
