The Roommate Movie Brought Lots Of Intense Drama

Author: chriskickzme

Screen Gems (Sony) circulated their new horror/thriller film "The Roommate" into theaters earlier this month. I checked it out,and believed it was seriously great. I seriously liked Gossip Girls star Leighton Meester's job as the psycho lady . The film stars: Leighton Meester, Minka Kelly, Cam Gigandet, Aly Michalka, Danneel Harris, Frances Fisher, and Billy Zane.

The film centered around characters Rebecca and Sara Matthews (Kelly) . Sara is a typical woman college student who seems to be having an enjoyable experience at college. Then one day,she gets a brand new roommate named Rebecca who seems to be very friendly to start with ,. Well,at least to Sara, anyways.

Everyone else that Sara presents Rebecca to,gets a bad stare,or a slightly disinterested attitude because it's all about Sara, and only Sara when it comes to Rebecca, and nobody better do anything to make Sara upset or else Rebecca certainly will get on their case in a really troublesome way.

There wasn't much murdering in the film, but the next best thing occurred. Rebecca starts out threatening one of Sara's friends after she feels she's a negative influence. The altercation concludes with Rebecca yanking the woman's belly-button ring out. Ouch! Then she gets one of Sara's college professors fired when Sara tells her he made a pass at her. That one wasn't so bad.

Sadly, things do certainly go a little overboard when she chooses to stab Sara's former boyfriend to death with a box cutter, claiming, Sara doesn't love him anymore. It all goes on behind Sara's back. Sara doesn't get genuinely suspicious until she's tipped off that Rebecca is on drugs for Schizophrenia. Sara tried to be considerate of Rebecca's strange ways until she finds out about the schizo stuff. After that, she gets freaked. A final straw comes when Rebecca gets the exact same tattoo that Sara has.

This causes Sara to leave the dorm, leaving Rebecca alone to grow even crazier, leading to the major, thrilling conclusion that involved Rebecca,a kidnapping,Sara, a few of Sara's friends, and a gun shootout. It was seriously intense and entertaining.

Though it had a rather predictable finish,I didn't enjoy it any less. It was an excellent film for me. It never had any dull or boring moments, and brought a great deal of "edge of your seat" scenes. I definitely liked Leighton Meester's performance. She's appeared in a lot of flicks here lately. It also presented some cameo appearances from Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and Katerina Graham. I gave the film a B grade.
