Watch No Strings Attached 2010 Movie

Ivan Reitman's latest film No Strings Attached is comedy just like his 80s and 90s films Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Stop! Or My Mum Will Shoot and Kindergarten Cop. The film, starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher as the leads, is a romantic comedy, focusing on the friends with benefits duo Adam and Emma, who have known each other since their childhood.

However, the traditional results of the friends with benefits scenario do not apply to this couple for Emma is the very busy girl who does not have time and energy for a relationship which is more than casual and regular sex. Adam is the one slowly falling for the sex partner, becoming more and more clingy with his antics. Fans of Portman might wonder what she is doing in a light romantic comedy as a character actress who pulls of challenging performances since her childhood, but it might be the exact reason she has chosen this project. After all, widening the range is always appealing for a serious actor who explores new things and roles in her career.

Ashton Kutcher is typical romantic comedy lead man and since he has done it hundreds of times before, there are no surprises that he is very good in his role. Their chemistry is charming and the film starts on full throttle with the laughs. While the characters discover things within, the laughs naturally cease but they are there nevertheless. The supporting characters add to the fun of the experience. Especially Kevin Kline, who is portraying Adam's celebrity, playboy and pot smoking father, steals his scenes and provides some of the best lines in the film.

The trailer for the film is a bit misleading, making the film look like a very typical mainstream film. So it should not be the measure and people who seek some fun and more screen time with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher should definitely see this funny romantic comedy.
