The teams are given separate chances to practice with the weapons to be used in a team challenge, under the guidance of an experienced trainer, after which the challenge itself is played the following day. Everyone on the winning team is safe for the day, while the losing team must nominate two members for elimination after a two-hour break. A group of targets is set up for this purpose, each marked with one player's name; one by one, the team members must shoot the target of the person they want to nominate.
For episodes 2-6, when the teams are of unequal size, enough players on the larger one must sit out the team challenge to even out the groups. The smaller team decides who will sit out, with the condition that the same player may not be benched for two challenges in a row. In episodes 7 and 8, the larger team decides for itself who will participate or be benched.
Come on, we're not idiots. We just watched it! I love the high-speed cameras they use... they really grab some good, interesting shots of bullets being fired and hitting their targets. I like that. It seemed to me that the younger shooters did the poorest this week, shooting as they were with some added stress. The older veterans pulled it together, for the most part. Experience counts.
And what was the deal with Jay Lim fumbling with the revolver? It doesn't take much common sense, nor time, to figure out how to handle a wheel gun - especially when you have an experienced instructor standing at your side, making suggestions and ready to help.
It is produced by the Pilgrim Films & Television and hosted by the 'Survivor: Redemption Island' competitor Colby Donaldson. Out of 16 players in this season, 14 are men and 2 are women. They involves 10-time NRA pistol winner, two former world shooting champions, a Jersey shore Air Force sniper, a Bronze Star recipient, a Texas cop, and representatives from four branches of the military.
