After three years of research to produce an unbiased, non-judgmental portrayal of polygamy in America, the executive producers of the show casted Bill Paxton as a practicing polygamist and a new Utah Republican state senator named Bill Henrickson, Jeanne Tripplehorn as Barb, Bill's first wife, Nicki Grant, Bill's second wife and Barb's former caretaker mothers Wayne and Raymond, and Cara Lynn, played by Chloe Sevigny. Ginnifer Goodwin plays Margene Heffman who is Bill's third and youngest wife, she has three kids named Lester, Aaron, and Nell. Margene loaded up her polygamist family rally with Goji product placement - and now the family is finally paying attention to her little side job. And by "paying attention," we mean that Bill is "poking around" to see what the people who run it are all about. He confronts Margene, calling her work a pyramid scheme and leaving her teary. When Margene takes her troubles to the head of Goji, he all but calls Bill a jerk - and she seems utterly enamored by it.
