10 Twitter Marketing Tips
Did you know there are almost 200 million people using Twitter? how about this one - Twitter is the #10 top visited site in the world? Wow!
Alexa.com is one my favorite sources for internet traffic data. Take a peek at today's figures for Twitter and just look at where Twitter is heading. In the last three months alone the tally of people using Twitter has snowballed by over 10% whipping even Facebook, the number 2 site in the world, which only achieved a mere 8% in the same period. Twitter is hot hot hot!
So how can you use Twitter to market your own home business? Here are 10 twitter marketing strategies.
1. First, if you haven't already subscribed, go to twitter.com and join.
2. Now, when you set up your profile you need to look good. Choose a nice smiling photo of yourself to upload. I don't know about you but I kind of like nice smiling faces.
3. Next, when you write your profile bio don't do what everyone else is doing. Find an approach to make yourself conspicuous. Make yourself stand out. If you like, be flamboyant.
4. Remember that Twitter is like a non-stop party. Don't blast people with an opportunity sales job the first chance you get. Develop a connection based on trust. The number one mistake of network marketers is they try to make the sale before they have developed a rapport.
5. Seek out content and value and share this by tweeting it to others. Help solve peoples' problems.
6. SocialOomph.com is your best friend on Twitter. It's free so go ahead and get an account. With SocialOomph you can:
-automate following others who follow you
-automatically send out a response to people who follow you
-be notified when they @mention you.
7. You'll end up sounding robotic if you automate your tweets on SocialOomph. So don't. And when you reply to someone who has just followed you remember, don't sock them with a sales message. Be a real person. Be approachable.

9. Once in awhile, share motivational quotes and upload some fun photos. Twitpic.com is a handy site to use for this.
10. It is important to work on your business every day. Make it a daily practice to:
- Read, comment and retweet 10 MLM or marketing blogs in your category. If you can be the first to comment.
- Find and follow 20 MLM leaders on Twitter. you may find these two sites useful: Twellow.com and Search.twitter.com
- Come up with a way to present your business opportunity to at least 2-5 people.
- Come up with one new piece of content.
