Auto Ding Repairs
This usually costs hundreds of dollars per ding and is not a real good solution for a wide range of damage like that brought on by hail or gravel being spit on the vehicle. There is another solution which is called paintless dent repair. The results are as good or better than with traditional methods and it comes at a fraction from the cost and time. It is the perfect solution for hail damage.
Hail is one of the worst offenders to cars. There is no real way to predict when it'll come so when it does there is almost no way to avoid it. It may break windows and windshields and sometimes wreaks havoc upon the bodywork of vehicles. With traditional dent repair you would be looking at getting the entire car repainted essentially because there would be a lot and such widespread damage. Benefiting from the brand new paintless technique would save a significant amount of time and cash while preserving the resale worth of the car by not altering the initial paint job.
Following a hail storm a car could be covered in divots and dings in a manner that is totally unattractive. The results could be seriously disheartening when you consider what is traditionally completed to provide dent repair. Usually a series of holes are drilled in the damaged area. Then the metal will be bent out with the holes until it was to its original shape. Afterwards the sheet metal will be sanded and grinded smooth again. Once it was relatively smooth filler will be applied to the holes, sanded smooth again after which repainted. Unfortunately often the holes would still be visible through the paint and the paint wouldn't entirely match. This is because a factory paint job looks phenomenal and smooth and experiences a number of stages before being completed. It's impossible to duplicate this inside a repair shop and so you undoubtedly have a portion of vehicle that doesn't match the remainder.
With paintless dent repair none of the invasive techniques are essential. Instead the panel is removed along with a series of rods are applied to the rear. Next the sheet metal is gently hammered back to shape to massage the dent out. This involves no sanding, painting, or damage to the structure. In cases of hail damage this is great because you can do a bunch of areas in a single felled swoop. Also because less hours are necessary and also the materials are limited you end up with a far smaller invoice for which has been done.
