Does Your Business Carry Your Passion?
How much different would things look for you if you were able to make a fulltime income doing the thing you were most passionate about in life?
Imagine the people who love to travel and are actually paid to go visit a different country every couple of weeks and all on someone else's dime while they are being paid.
Sure there is work involved and maybe traveling for a living wouldn't be your personal cup of tea but it is pretty easy to see how someone who loved travel could be really passionate about their job.
That is the cool thing about passion. It doesn't matter what you are passionate about, anything can be turned into fulltime income stream if you know the right way to go about it.
So many of us were turned away from following our hearts and our passions and children though. We were told to go to school, get good grades, get a job, and pray to retire someday.
That might have been ok advice for our parents back when companies had a teensy bit of loyalty to their employees but it today's chaotic and profit driven world, its not only bad advice but really scary advice to follow.
So I am going to give you some basic tips on discovering your passion and turning it into profits!
Take some time to distinguish what you like from what you are really passionate about. I enjoy making good BBQ but it's not something I am really passionate about. The idea of me opening up a BBQ joint and slaving over a hot pit all day everyday just isn't my idea of joy even though I like to do it once in awhile.
You'll find that it doesn't take all that long to really hone in on a couple of ideas and once you do open your mind to all the ways you can potentially make a living through your passion. At this point you don't want to stifle it by thinking on one specific idea with too much focus.
Sure if you love to travel you could work at becoming a travel host but there is also a producer there at all times that isn't on camera making sure everything is going right. There is also a camera crew with electronics technicians and a whole host of other ways to do be involved.
It is very important that once you know what your passion is and have an idea on how you want to do things, treat it like a real business. Before you go to sleep every night make sure you make at least one real move towards making your passion your reality!
