Special Agent "G" Callen (Chris O'Donnell) is a chameleon who transforms himself into whomever he needs to be to infiltrate the criminal underworld. His partner is Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), a former U.S. Navy SEAL who has seen action in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and a surveillance expert who uses state of the art monitoring equipment to look out for those in the field and feed them crucial information. Both Callen and Hanna report to Special Agent Lara Macy (Louise Lombard), the OSP team leader responsible for directing the operations and making life-or-death decisions.
CBS was the most-watched network for each half-hour Tuesday night, despite NBC drawing its largest Tuesday audience of the season, according to live-plus same-day figures released today by The Nielsen Co. CBS averaged 16.17 million viewers for its prime-time programming. CBS' "NCIS" was the night's most-watched program, averaging 19.87 million viewers. "NCIS: Los Angeles," which followed on CBS, averaged 16.82 million viewers. CBS' final program of the night, "The Good Wife," averaged 11.83 million viewers. NBC averaged 9.92 million viewers, its most for a Tuesday this season. The two-hour fall finale of "The Biggest Loser" averaged 11.05 million viewers, its most since the first episode of the 2010 spring season Jan. 5. NBC's "Minute to Win It," averaged a series-high 7.66 million viewers from 8-9 p.m.
NCIS Los Angeles is returning from winter hiatus this week with "Overwatch." The NCIS spinoff holds the second hour slot of Tuesday night drama for CBS, and it has certainly been doing well since it premiered last year. Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Nell (Renee Felice Smith) are the newest additions to the team this year, and they've definitely been able to fit in with the others over the first half of season 2.
Things don't look good. Kensi and Deeks find a bomb and run from the scene just before a Coroner's van explodes. The promo ends with Deeks giving the score of "bad guys 1, cops 0." Fans should take note of the fact that Peter Cambor is listed on the press release as Nate Getz-it looks like he's returning to the series-but is it for good or just an one-episode appearance?
LL Cool J plays the role of Special Agent Sam Hanna, an ex-Navy SEAL, who works in the undercover unit of NCIS in Los Angeles, and is also fluent in Arabic and an expert on Middle Eastern culture.[8] Peter Cambor and Daniela Ruah are cast as a psychologist named Nate and forensic investigator named Kensi, respectively; Louise Lombard, who had been confirmed to play the role of lead agent Lara Macy, was not a regular in the new series, and the character was killed off during an episode of NCIS. Rocky Carroll, who plays Director Leon Vance on NCIS, appeared in six of the first 13 episodes. He made a seventh appearance in "Hunted".
