That it's an all-female group caters, ostensibly, to the audience for Oxygen, the low-profile women's cable network that still labors in Lifetime's shadow. But as with its more appealing comedy "Campus Ladies," which unevenly begins its second season following this program's double-wide launch, the basic cabler is trying a bit too hard. Through the wonders of editing, the seven women quickly establish their "bad girl" credentials, getting thrown out of a nightclub for accosting a bouncer and providing a demonstration in the art of binge drinking by "spoiled daddy's girl" Ripsi, the self-proclaimed "blackout queen."
Bad Girls Road Trip is a spin-off from Oxygen's original show, The Bad Girls Club. It premiered June 21, 2007. It stars season one veterans, Zara Sprankle, Aimee Landi, and Leslie Ramsue, who tour their respective hometowns, search for casting opportunities for Season 2 of The Bad Girls Club and check on their former housemates.
As for "The Real World" team, they've been ripped off so many times, they're perhaps to be forgiven for ripping themselves off, but despite all the grappling, boozing and tears that ensue, the premise here is wispy. Season four broke the record once again, after the third episode titled "No More Mr. Nice Girl" aired, the show became the network's most-watched telecast among women 18 to 34 and the most-watched non-finale program among viewers and adults 18 to 49. The show averaged a 1.35 household rating and 1.42 million total viewers, a total that included 527,000 females 18 to 34. The show also marked only the second time the NBC Universal service surpassed the seven-figure mark with that key group, when measured on a live+ same-day basis. It also pulled in some 744,000 females 18 to 49 The fifth season premiere was the most watched premiere in Oxygen history in all key demos draws 1.34 million viewers, and outperformed all other cable networks, along with ABC and CBS.
The show's premise follows seven women with a number of personal, behavioral, and psychological problems - deemed "bad girls" - as they live together for four months. Cameras record their relationships and their attempts to accomplish specific goals. There have been five complete aired seasons of "The Bad Girls Club".
