New Year 2011 is fastly advancing up. Only few hours are remaining for the clock to tick towards the New Year. People are in prayers for the arrival of an optimistic, cheerful and happy New Year 2011. The other parts of the world like Asia, Australia and Europe have already celebrated their New Year moments in last several hours.
It is up for Times Square now. The New York City is prepared for the grand function with tight security and all other preparations. In the wake of last May's attempted terror attacks in Times Square, the police department has deployed stringent security around the city. Thousands of enforcement personnel are massively deployed in uniforms and cover-ups.

Votran's special New Year's Eve trolley line started bringing revelers downtown at 7 p.m. "A lot of people have a strong case of cabin fever," said Theresa Doan, owner of Dirty Harry's Pub. She said the city and other organizations cooperated to publicize the event, and the clear evening's weather did its part to get people out on the street. Dave Ankin, owner of the Dog House Bar and Grill on Main Street, said the early evening crowd was already bigger than the midnight crowd last year. "There's a buzz in town," Ankin said. "I think people are dying to get off the couch and out."
