Where would Real Housewives of Atlanta be without Nene Leaks? Nene is preparing herself for the single life with her new career as a host. For her first interview, she showed us why it is important to do research before conducting a celebrity interview. This week on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Nene had the honor of interviewing producer Jermaine Dupri. In the beginning, you could tell Nene was new at this. She had no idea what she was doing. She asked questions that she should have known the answers to.
Kandi and Kim made their first tour stop in Charlotte. Kandi was getting frustrated at Kim because she wasn't taking her tour seriously. Kim complained about everything, from sleeping on the bunk to how small the bathroom was. Overall, Kim did a good job opening for Kandi.
Even though they experienced some rumblings of trouble in past episodes, Cynthia and Peter are now getting into one explosive money conflict. By the way, when did actor-author Hill Harper become a marriage counselor? Is Cynthia in the wrong for her comments about getting some kind of return on her investment? It appears her concern was about financing the wedding, so her thoughts about selling are probably justified, right? Or is she just not becoming one with the whole "for better or for worse" deal?
What was his car-theft comment about? That he didn't commit the crime, or that he can't overcome the image of being a thief or felon in other peoples' eyes? Kim seemed comfortable on-stage despite her refusal of choreography. Kandi was probably relieved something didn't go horribly wrong, as in boos or *crickets.* The wigged one's only weaknesses she can't finesse her way out of seem to be cigarettes and the other booze. "Sip and See" might actually be an apt title for a Kim Zolciak book. Hope that bus driver didn't liquor up before his shifts ... Kroy certainly had her number with his pre-show gift. A sign of things to come, which is more than can be said for next week's teaser. NeNe and Kim are at it again? I suppose it wouldn't be a complete season without one of their dust-ups.
So it looks like Phaedra's having another one of her crazy Southern tradition parties (although no one seems to have heard of one before). This one is called a "Sip and See," as in sip mimosas and see ma' new baby. No mention on whether or not bit hats are required. In preparation, Phaedra's busy making that promised peach jam.... mmm-hmmm. She's still pretty pissed about the spa incident with Kim, and concludes that her and Apollo are always getting picked on because they're so attractive and stuff. Atlanta = Haterville.
NeNe's psyched for her big interview with Jermaine Dupri, until his publicist asks her not to touch the whole Janet Jackson topic. This is kinda a bummer considering most of NeNe's questions are about Janet Jackson. Mr. Dupri isn't exactly making things easier for NeNe either, basically answering the majority of her queries with "Nah." Eventually, NeNe works her charm though, even taking her shoes off and playing some b-ball with the producer. Win.
Shere? rocked some power walking with Phaedra, during which they discussed donkey booties and such. Fascinating stuff, really. Things are tense between Cynthia and Peter due to some major probs surrounding their restaurant, Uptown Supper Club. As a result, they invite their friend Hill Harper for a little pre-marriage counseling sesh.
