You have gone shopping and you have found the best satellite dish at a good price and offer. for installing the satellite you might have tried to hire some one and sometimes the retailer would have helped himself to install the dish for free. it is not possible for every buyer to get this service from the retailer. It is upon you to set up the dish. Here are the steps on how to install a Satellite Dish.

for installing the satellite dish you need have a complete satellite system, Compass, Satellite RG6 Coax Cable, 6" Magnetic Level OR Post Level, ?" nut driver bit, 7/16" wrench, staples OR screw clips, drill, zip ties or black tape, 2" lag bolts, and satellite signal meter.

Look for a suitable place around your compound to raise the dish. the site must have the clear sky line and also it should face the given direction properly. It should be free from any interference especially when it comes to searching of signal. the other important thing while installing the satellite dish is to bolt the mast firmly and it is also important to position the mast plumb in every direction. ensure that the bold must be tightly fixed and it should be plumbed well.

Next to have the antenna dish placed on the mast, but don't tighten the bolts. Put your coax cable through the dish then out where we have the LNBF and then connect the cable. now both LNBF to satellite dish. the bolts should not be tighten much. now read the manual guidance for installing the satellite dish in order to confirm the correct skew and raise the dish according to locality. if the neighbor too has the satellite dish then you can easily raise the level accordingly.

now if you don't have the meter for checking the signals after fixing the coax cable just turn on the television to confirm the signal. now you have to turn the dish according to the instruction given in the installation manual to check the meter and locate to the signal correctly otherwise just look at the neighbor's dish. after getting the signals just bolt the dish. it would be fine if the adjustment is done horizontally but it can also be adjusted vertically. now let the reflector of the dish rotate freely.

Now it is time to determine the strong signal by moving the reflector up and down. and then take coax from dish to receiver and connect it. finally by reading the manuals for the installation of satellite dish just connect the receiver to television and do the required test.
