4.Do not download any files from strangers. Be careful about downloading files from the Internet. Be sure that the source is a trusted one. Make sure that your anti-virus program checks the files that you are downloading from the internet.
5.Back up your data files on a regular basis. Files such as documents and picture. If a virus corrupts your files, can replace them with your back-up. You may want to consider a back up service that will save your files at a different location. There is no sense saving your back ups to the same computer, if the hard drive fails then you back up is lost.
6.Make sure you keep multiple backups, in case you back up the virus, you need to restore an earlier backup that is not infected.
So always be careful and do not open, download, or run any files or email attachments until you have verified what they are.
