Why Fish is so Healthy

Author: KatieChristanthamum

Some of the nutrients in fish cannot be found in any other foods. Omega-3 is found in high concentrations in fish, as well as other nutrients we need. If you don't like fish, you're missing out on some great health benefits. It tops poultry as one of the leanest meats out there.

Omega-3 is supposedly a great supplement to any diet, but some claim that there is no proof of the health benefits some have linked it to. Many people wonder why it's such a good idea to include Omega-3 in your diet, however. Some have experienced weight loss after including Omega-3, and some studies have linked it to a decreased risk of heart disease. It might be controversial, but it will in no way hurt to have it in your diet.

Chicken is very healthy, but it is nothing compared to fish. It is definitely the leanest meat around, and the fat it does have are healthy fats such as Omega-3. Try substituting in fish instead of beef, chicken or pork, and you'll have some amazing health benefits.

Some people don't like fish at all. There are alternatives if you don't like fish, however. The weekly recommended consumption of fish is 2 servings per week, but you can easily get the nutrients and Omega-3 through a multivitamin and a fill oil pill. You're not completely out of luck if you don't like fish.

Fish can have many benefits, and if you don't eat a lot of fish right now, you should start adding more to your diet. It can have a massive effect on your health, and it can even help you lose weight. You should include fish in your diet even though it hasn't been proven that Omega-3 has any health benefits. Eat some fish today!
