A theory states that acne is caused by a lack of essential fatty acids (EFA) in a person's system. Although it is not proven, there really are positive effects caused by the use of EFA for the skin. EFA can be found in various food like fish and soybeans.

Zinc and Copper
Zinc and copper are responsible for the speedy recovery of the scars. They are also capable of fighting off different bacteria that enter our body. However, zinc ingestion must be maintained within specific levels, otherwise it can be deadly.

Finding out how to prevent acne isn't really a big chore. The difficult part is finding the right blend or brand that suits your skin. If you'll notice, by eating a healthy diet, you can easily get those acne supplements shown above.

So what does this mean? That facial creams are not the be all and end all of a good skin. What you eat and the nutrients they provide are also very vital for this. Personally, I have experienced that exercising is also another way to alleviate acne. With the amount of sweat one makes, the dirt is pushed out of the body allowing the pores to breathe freely. Those who usually drink and smoke however are more prone to acne.

Aside from these supplements and a few lifestyle changes, don't forget to maintain a proper hygiene. Keep your face clean and don't try to prick, pop or touch pimples. Before using any product type, test them out first by putting them on the inside of your wrists.
