Importance Of Dna Tests

Author: jackjreynolds

This is the study devoted to understand how characteristics are transmitted from one parents to offspring. This work was founded by Gregor Johan Mendel back in 1843. At that time garden peas were the foundation of the modern genetics. Human traits or characteristics are carried or stored on what we call the genes. Both these genes have different roles to play. The study of genes has indeed brought about a great revolution in the medical field .

DNA tests are test carried out to confirm someone DNA. Every person has an unique DNA and it will never be the same to another person. The studies are then used to serve the various purposes and the tests have been developed by various departments like education, medical , etc . There are countless ways in which DNA tests have been put to use in the field of medicine. India experienced a historical moment in the field of science, when the first vaccine was developed. This vaccination came as a blessing and India rejoiced and exultant in its moment of pride. That was the time when there were hundreds of people dying of small pox . The only way to check them is through vaccine . Small pox vaccines that were developed hundreds of years ago have not been able to find a solution for us.

It is believed that the science of genetic is the solution to finding these elusive answers. This is a vaccine specifically for DNA. A DNA vaccine is a vaccine made from the DNA of a pathogen but does not have disease causing capabilities. The DAN vaccine is injected into the patient where it directs the synthesis of a protein. If the vaccinated person contacts the disease agent in future, his own immunity will fight back. There are researchers working all over the world trying to develop vaccines for AIDS. Many crime issues have been solved with the help of DNA. Our DNA is unique and varying. Anything that comes in contact with our bodies , has DNA . In crime scene, the suspected criminal might have touched something, left a weapon behind or body fluid like blood, saliva or semen. This will be taken to a lab and the DNA will be isolated and compared to a database with collations of DNA and a match will be found if the person is in the database.

DNA tests have also find its way solving paternity issue. Finding out about paternity of a child is now possible with the help of DNA test. At times the dead bodies are so decomposed that it is impossible to identify them . A DNA test of a skeleton too can identify the person .
